Binding Roots

Postby Salius on Fri Jun 08, 2007 7:55 am

Druid command: Bind <target> with <black roots>
Binding roots is an attack ritual. It is used to bind a mob or pk to a room for a limited time. If successful the roots will hold the target in place.
It requires some crushed black roots to throw at said target.
It uses 50 gp.

lol. Druids in wow get entangling roots. And there's sub-trees that will allow you to entangle an enemy just by them attacking you.
The roots can be attacked through or broken by brute force. Level of druid vs mob has a lot of role in the matter, and level of the skill.
There are those who see things for what they are, and ask "What if?"
I see things for what they are yet to become, and ask "Why not?"

Here is a thought: how about we make binding roots a new pet special. If we restricted druids to one pet (plus fairies and pixies, maybe delete these once everyone learns flash) and one of the pets was an ent, the ent could entangle and smack around mobs.

I am not sure how pets would be reordered for abilities, but this could make things interesting.

Geeesh, that Salius of last month was off his rocker. Somebody get that guy an old man blanket and some glasses.

When did we decide to make druids int EQ mages? They don't need new pets, just reasonable pets like bears that only work in one room or for one opponent... stuff that does damage over time while the druid gets beat on. Who decided that traveling with enslaved damage shields made sense for free roaming druids?

I like the entangling roots though. Grasping and squeezing life out of opponents seems reasonable if it only works in a single room and one opponent.

I can't believe the Ent thing though. Who do you think you are, Gandalf?

Happy New Year Guys
